About The Ball
What is the Purpose of the All Academies Ball?
To support the St. Louis region (in Missouri and Illinois) service academy parent clubs who are coordinating to host this memorable annual event. Each year, one of the clubs serves as the event chair (in 2024, Air Force), and the club that will take the reins the following year serves as the vice president. Our mission is to honor the young men and women who have committed themselves to our country. We also solicit and encourage area politicians and businesses to support this marquee event by attending or through sponsorship.
What is the All Academies Ball?
The All Academies Ball, formally known as the United States Service Academies Military Ball, is an annual event honoring and connecting cadets, midshipmen, alumni and parents in our area of the five federal service academies: the U.S Military Academy at West Point, New York; the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland; the U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Colorado; the U.S. Coast Guard Academy at New London, Connecticut; and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, New York.
This appreciation event is for the young men and women who attend our nation's service academies. This formal event, which is held in other communities around the nation as well, has been a way for us to celebrate and encourage these future leaders and thank them for their willingness to serve our great nation.
For more than 60 years, this event has been made possible by the hard work of volunteers from parent associations of the five St. Lous-area service academies. Our parent volunteers work together with sponsors and donors to underwrite and organize this annual event. All monies raised are to support bringing together cadets/midshipmen and families and help to defray the cost of this celebration of service by our young men and women.
